About
ANNA KLIVER

Hospitality designer with over 12 years of experience delivering hotels, restaurants and resorts across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North Africa.

The spaces we return to are rarely memorable for one reason alone. It is the atmosphere,
the details and the moments experienced within them that stay with us. I like to create places that guests remember fondly, feel drawn back to and, quite simply, want to experience again.
A home away from home.

Professional Background

My route into interior architecture was anything but conventional. With a background in fine art and a fascination with psychology, I was still undecided about where either might lead when, during a summer semester in France, I met an installation artist whose work explored how manipulating an environment could affect people's emotional response to it. The idea that space itself could influence how we feel fascinated me, and ultimately led me to study Interior Design in London.

After graduating, I gained experience in architectural planning and retail design before moving into hospitality and working within international, multidisciplinary design practices. Here I worked alongside architects, consultants, visualisers and specialist suppliers across a multitude of projects from early concept through technical delivery and construction, which gave me an understanding of both the creative and practical realities of bringing an idea to life.

After nearly two decades in the UK, I returned to Germany and now work independently from Baden-Württemberg. I am a registered Interior Architect with the Baden-Württemberg Chamber of Architects (AKBW), bringing the experience of an international design career to projects in Germany and beyond.
